Hello! It's me, David, and I have a question about Vander NC's Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003.
1. is it active?
2. Does it do hi-lo? If so, for fire calls?
Thanks! A friend of mine is trying to record the 1003.

It's still active as far as I can tell, although I have no idea what signal it uses or any testing schedules. It is the only remaining 1003 in NC

Vander is active, it's tested on the first of the month "during the day". They'll work with you if you want to arrange a test.

Jason, I have been looking through the map, and the 2001 at Huntersville FD seems like it should be part of the "Nuclear Plant Sirens" sub-layer. Also, don't want to be a jerk, but are you positive that the Model 2 in Greenville is a siren?
Thanks, David

Fixed the 2001 layer and removed the Greenville siren (I think it's a vent, I still can't tell even though I've been right under it several times), thanks!

Jason,
I have a question about Avon's Model 5. Does it exist to this day? I can't see it on streetview.
And a note about Kitty Hawk's Sentry 5V, the poor thing seems to be removed to this day.
Thanks,
David

The Avon Model 5 is in the hose tower, and the Kitty Hawk 5v is still there as of July, just with no housing or skirt.

Oh really?
Sorry for being a dummy. Poor 5V.

Great map. Any operational status of the Thunderbolt 1000Ts and any operational status of the Allertors?
