Re: the CICCA siren rabbit hole

bad news... no one i know wants to go there and pick it up, so i need to get it freighted over, but the problem is that the seller does not want to ship, i assume he does not want to box it up and everything. so i guess the only way is to find someone who can take it from Essey-Les-Nancy to my house without having to box it up, thats gonna be a huge pain.

so, i was visiting the julien bioller siren map when i came across a Pakita siren that remplaced a unknown siren but no photo of the unknown siren, so i looked on google maps and found this : https://www.google.fr/maps/place/Ch%C3% ... &entry=ttu
this was at the very position the Pakita is in now, so the Pakita remplaced this, but what even is that ???????????????????? it is definitely a siren, but it just looks completely odd, i am at a loss for words to describe it. it might be a CICCA but because of its round shape and no horns, it probably isnt, so what could it be, some handmade siren ??? no clue.

Well that's... It almost looks like one of those "pancake" sirens but flipped. I can't really see how many ports there is.

Alternatively, it looks like some kind of a "quick and dirty repair", this siren probably had an intake cover that somehow got damaged and a new one was fabricated

im pretty sure it is in fact a repair or a handmade siren, it is just way too odd to even be a mass-produced one, but its mysterious, tho, i found a few more CICCA sirens on the julien boller siren map in the meantime, so here :

7 horn CICCA siren on top of a city hall -- https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 24304&z=21 -- looking from the top in google maps (without the marker on the julien boller siren map) it appears to have one horn missing, so it is the 7 horn version.

6 horn CICCA siren on top of a "salle des fêtes" -- https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 05837&z=20 -- this is a first, a 6-horned CICCA siren, i have never seen one before, but that is obviously a CICCA.

cursed unknown siren (im pretty sure its a CICCA) on a very very unusual spot -- https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 44027&z=20 -- this one is an oddball, it just looks even weirder than the cursed round siren that got remplaced by a Pakita that i talked about earlier, but the weirdest part is where it is located, it is in one of the most cursed spots in my entire history of being a siren enthusiast, and to let you see it for yourself, heres the street view : https://www.google.fr/maps/@45.9276788, ... &entry=ttu

another cursed unknown siren (once again im pretty sure its a CICCA) on top of a building (might be the city hall) -- https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 09341&z=20 -- this one is also pretty odd, and actually has the bent horns like most french sirens, so it might not be a CICCA, but im not sure, it is just way too odd to be another brand.

and thats the end of the list.

UPDATE ON THE EMPERI SIREN : it is not handmade, julien boller acidentally found another one and its being added to the map, but this one STILL EXISTS. so this oddball seems to have been a mass-produced siren, intresting... now im at a total loss for words for it. tho, the new one is here : https://www.google.com/maps/@43.2830103 ... &entry=ttu

Could these sirens and the one in this other post be related somehow?

I'm also at a loss, if these aren't KMSecur "pancake" sirens, what are they?

that siren is definitely not related, but its probably another "SEM" siren, just like the Videauban one, which is a SEM 2, this might be a diffrent SEM model but looking at the hat its the same tall design, so maybe. otherwhise, these cursed "circle" sirens are still bugging me every day, they dont even look like sirens lol, but they are...

I figured as such.. It does kinda look like those Greek EVILMA (talk about a name for a siren) sirens..

I've got another oddity, again not sure if it's a CICCA or a SEM, but it's on top of the Marly-Gomont city hall.. Picture came from Wikipedia.

I'm not even sure if it's a siren, nor if it's still there, for all intents and purposes it could be a chimney cap.

it IS a siren, julien boller found like 10 of these everywhere in france, one of them on a siren truss, so clearly if one of them was on a truss its obviously not a chimney cap, the brand is unknown. its probably some Elektror german siren but i have no clue. also if you are wondering how i know the Videauban siren is a SEM 2... it looks identical to another siren that julien boller found, but this time, julien boller suceeded to take pictures of the tag on it, and it is a SEM 2.

btw forgot to tell, on the 3rd of july, i went to film a siren in Tourves which i assumed to be a CEN model NP2S, but going there i got two surprises. first it didnt work, to make sure they didnt forget i went up to the town hall after and they said it didnt work anymore, bruh. but second is that it was not really a NP2S... its a weird thing with weird supports, i took a picture of it too so here :
Image
as you can see, it sorta has a NP2S's head, but the cage is completely diffrent, i have no clue on what this could be. if you have any ideas, tell me.
