I agree with you, especially because this isn't a rural area - if it affects one part of the county, it's likely to affect a large portion of the county. You can't easily sub-divide the county.
I can see them using the option to only sound a single siren for chemical spills or similar localized emergencies though.

But remember, a storm could only pass through the southeastern part of the county, and everyone in the western part doesn't really need to be warned unless there's a warning for that part, and a storm could start from the southwestern part, and will go through at least all of the south most likely, and may hit the northeastern part, so the northwest may not need to be warned in that situation, unless there's a warning issued for that part.

Hey Guys got a call from Jeb and Ian who came up here to pick up a siren from me. They are staying the night and will be at the shop after breakfast on Saturday April 29. If anyone wants to come over please come and meet them.

Got Ian's number we are supposed to meet up Sunday. Got the flying pig marathon with my daughter in the morning then to the baseball game to get my Joey Votto bobblehead.

Sold out crowd.

Sorry if we shouldn't discuss this here, but that was one exciting game! I had some free straight-A tickets for it!

I didn't get there in time for a bobblehead though, did you?

Yes I did we got there at 4 and waited in line. I went Friday too and most likely will go Sunday and Monday as well. Great come from behind win.

I must add one more thing. You won't steal second from Hernandez.

I must add this to make my post siren related.

You can get a great view of the Park Place 1000 from the ballpark. You can also see the Campbell County F.S. Modulator next to the Taylor Southgate (Central) Bridge from the view level seats.

I saw both of those sirens too from my seat.

Also, as we were walking down Walnut Street before the game, I was able to see the 1000T on the Federal Courthouse!

It was pointed south, which seemed to make it easier to see.

The rotator on the Northside 1000 on Blue Rock Street is fixed. Went by there on Sunday night after visiting my Aunt to give her her birthday presents. It is no longer facing towards Blue Rock Street. It is facing toward the Mc Kie Community Center which is behind the Firehouse.

That could be possible, or it might just be pointed that way to provide better coverage.
Michael: Did it sound like it was rotating on April 20?

Andy, I went past the siren not too long after the 20th and the horn was still pointed the same direction as it was when you recorded it and the rotator was broken.
It may have been fixed since then and just may have happened to stopped in the same position. That probably rarely happens, but it is possible. It probably just depends on the RPM setting and how long it was running, and in this case 5 minutes give or take.
