In a sense, that's exactly what that is: an array of four WS400H speakers (same as used on a Hornet, except without a rotator) tied to an older Type 3 cabinet. Never seen anything done like this before, makes me wonder why they went this route instead of just purchasing a WPS-2804 at the time.

Not really a mystery siren, but I was in Downtown Memphis today when I happened to look up and see what I originally thought to be a Model 2/2T. After looking at it some more, I'm not so sure. The siren is not on the EMA's website and I know for a fact it's not sounded for tornado warnings (unless it was just recently put up). I snapped a picture of it that is attached below. What do you guys think this is? It may not be a siren at all. Whatever it is it is not owned or maintained by the EMA, and it's on top of a residential building. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's part of a little weather observation station, we have some of those around here. I sure wish they were sirens though!

No it's not. I'm more than familiar with these Davis weather stations and all of the instruments are on the pole. It has nothing to do with the weather station...

Looks like some roof vents I've seen here in Huntsville. Definitely not sirens, but sure look like them!

Oh, my bad! The one near me is attached to the pole, which has an anemometer and a few other devices. It looks exactly the same as the one in the picture, I'll try to find it soon.

It could actually be part of the weather station, made by a different company if not in the product line of the weather station there; it looks extremely similar to an object on a "WeatherBug": http://www.beloitdailynews.com/news/wea ... 963f4.html

So, this may be a bit off topic, but would this be something you could hook up to a Thor Guard lightning siren, or would the siren unit have it included?
