It's an STH-10, notice the eye on the top of the motor and that the chopper/stator assembly is at the bottom of the siren.

That's what appears to be an old 12-port vertical Darley Champion with a replacement Baldor single phase motor, that has a Model 5-like custom housing over it. Normally supposed to look like this:

That poor Darley. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even run anymore. (but I'm not sure...as you know Memphis EMA takes really good care of their sirens)

Actually, I remember Tommy mentioning something about that it does still work, and was wondering if there was a way to figure out any kind of information on it (i.e. year of manufacture, rated dB output, etc.). He said all he could get from the ID plate is that it's a W.S. Darley Champion, and one of the spots has "2C3(something)T" stamped in the blank. I wonder if he (or the EMA) has any plans to overhaul it sometime or something?

Doh, I forgot that the old Darleys had the chopper/stator assembly at the bottom. I guess in this case it's a good thing, otherwise you'd have to worry about things getting in the chopper as this housing seems not to have a lid.

Yep that one runs, Tommy said he has worked on it before. He's a member of the board.
