Mystery siren, behind fire station, Imbler. It has nine ports, a 3 phase, 3 Hp. Westinghouse motor, no manufacturer labels, and is similar to other "paint can" sirens found all over Oregon. The rotor spins freely with finger pressure.

Nice photos! I like the mystery siren. The fire dept with the siren on the ground, are you going to ask if they want it anymore and if you could get it?

I love how beaten up and used that siren looks! A hard life..

poor beat up westinghouse. looks like something could use some TLC and a paint job.

He says it is on the old fire hall, my guess is that it was just a warning for out-going trucks or something of the sort.. Around here we have flashing yellow lights to let people know when trucks are coming out.

Notice the bolt on the side? It is obviously modified at this point, I wonder if it wasn't even a vehicular siren originally? Maybe it is just my imagination, but I think I even see those little protector bars over the ports like fire-truck sirens have..

That rotor is about 15" diameter - definitely not a vehicle siren. These sirens are found all over Oregon. Here is one in action:

15" rotor? Slightly bigger than a 2t22 rotor which is 14".
