New EOWS 612 Alert tone video

Mon Dec 11, 2006 12:48 am

I believe this one has not been shown, since it was just added yesterday on youtube. I like the way this siren sounds, and it is dual toned as well which is cool for an electronic siren.

This is one of my favorite old sirens I love the EOWS if only they had lowered the tone a little but still a good siren it really does sound mechanical. I also like the ACA alertronic 6000 which also came in dual tone.

The video hasn't been shown here, though it is Joe's. I love speaker sirens painted yellow turning into a type of brown/yellow color.

Thanks for showing me that the video exists still.

Did the EOWS ever come in an omnidirectional version?

I remember the EOWS* SiraTone 1212, with a square-speaker model in one of the pages of the Fed. Sig. catalogue shown on the Archive. I think that the siren was called the EOWS* 115 or something.

Nice vid Joe!

Looks as if they put a description to it:

"This is a video of an EOWS* 612 doing the 3 minute Alert signal for a test. CREDIT GOES TO BEN HENRICHS/JOE MOLTER! This video was rescued before WisconsinSirens.com went down."

Well, seeing as you uploaded it to YouTube....I think it is fair game, as long as credit is given....and oh...it was.
