Here is a Siren from Hudson WI I think it is a X-cell /ASC Banshee/OM120

That's a nice Banshee. If this Banshee is an OM type, I'm glad that ASC still has those twelve-to-nine ratio rotors! Seeing that this Banshee is yellow, I think that it could be a prototype or a short-lived model from ACA.

I'm guessing that there would be a damper in that intake. Notice how the conduit branches off and goes into the intake. This is only a guess though.

Looks like they tried to capitalize on whatever sound somes out of the intake and make a horn for it, or perhaps it was an attempt at a venturi to increase airflow.

Note that you can see the Banshee standing on the three legs: we don't know as to whether they go all the way up to the rotor or are cut off with a plate on them. That way, if the siren has a stand plate underneath it, for whatever sake of mounting-practicality that might be, it has intake holes at the side. I am just guessing here, though, as I am not visually sure.

I'm wondering if that piece of conduit is to keep the rest of the conduit from possibly damaging the siren's cowls if the wind gets high. It is a very strange setup. The bottom of the intake looks like it somehow enhances airflow, as said before.

Xcell was a Siren company after ACA and before ASC came into being.
Hartford WI has Xcell sirens and they are Machinical ones.
