I'm trying to track down all the sirens in calhoun county mi. so far ive found the following.
Battle Creek-
1 thunderbolt
2 sd 10s
2 wierd vortex looking sirens
1 eows 612
Marshall-
3 2001s
1 thunderbolt
Albion-
1 thunderbolt
2 2001s
Homer-
1 model 5
A WOOD TV article I read a while back said Calhoun County had a system of 16 sirens I think. This is 14, minus the Homer siren because they do not test on the first saturday and im assuming that means they are not on the county system. i have not looked in athens, tekonsha, or burlington, although those communities are so small i think may not even have sirens. I also haven't taken a serious look in springfield either, the last 3 may be there. Anyone able to help?

Welcome to the board!
Your two Vortex-like sirens are probably ATI rotating sirens. Are they black?

Sheridan Twp on the northside of Albion might still have a Model 5 on the Fire Station is one place to look. In the City of Marshall there used to be a Sterling (street view shows a 2001 there now) in the SE part of the City along with the T-bolt downtown at the Fire Station probably the t-bolt you have listed. Between the City of Marshall and Marshall Twp I know of 5 sirens I think 4 are now 2001's and the T-bolt at the Fire Station. Marshall Twp used to have T-bolts.

Is the list of the sirens on the county system.
The other places in the county with sirens activate them on their own.
If Photobucket would open I can link you to all teh siren pic's I have from that county.

Bedford FD has another station on Uldricks Rd. on the West side of Battle Creek. They have a model 5 on the roof of the station. The Battle Creek air national guard base has, I believe Whelens. I think that Springfield, which is surrounded by Battle Creek city, has a siren at there fire station, but I'm not for sure. I don't recall seeing any sirens at Fort Custer Army base, but I would think that they would have one.

I have yet to add a few more of the EOWS and the other 2 thunderbolts in Battle Creek.

The Battle Creek ANGB used to have 1000T Thunderbolts, and Fort Custer had one SD-10 that I saw back in the early 1970s. I know the former now has electronic sirens, and I have no idea what the latter is using for outdoor warning sirens today.

I don't know what the fort is using but the ANGB is using 2 Modulators and they are really close to each other.
