The Siren Board

I missed todays test (or these two sirens probably didn't activate) but I took some still pictures of the two other siren sites at CIM. The siren tests I recorded earlier were mostly from the El Prado Rd site at the south side of the prison plus one from the west side on Central Ave which did not activate last test but has since been relocated.

I had to take these in the distance so I wouldn't get busted for tresspassing but they came out good for an inexpensive digital camera with 3X optical zoom.

This is the siren on the west side of the prison that I once got busted for recording. It was originally mounted to the top of a guard tower which was visible from Central Ave but has been relocated to this pole visible from the southeast corner of Ayala park. Here's a bigger picture.

Looking east from the same spot I took the first picture, you can see the prison's water tower in the distance. That's another siren site. Too bad I missed the test today since the place I was standing would have put me in the best position for both the water tower and the pole siren.

Very god photos! The 2001 looks creepy on the pic with it on the water tower.

It sounds a lot creepier in the distance as well. I just remembered some videos I took last Febuary on that I posted on the old board. It's on Zippyvideos.com which was where I placed my videos before youtube became popular.

The first video was taken out my bedroom window in my house. Even though there was a small hill between me and the siren and I was facing away, the sound was still very clear. The second was taken on a hill by my neighborhood which overlooked the city and with CIM visible in the background. I think it's around 5 or 6 miles to the nearest siren site.
