University of Toledo Siren Test #1
Posted: Fri Sep 02, 2011 5:57 pm
My first siren test as a College Student! Here is a Federal Signal Modulator 4016 operated by the University of Toledo testing along with Lucas County's sirens. This siren is one of Six sirens on the main campus (1 6024, 3 4016s, 1 DSA, and 1 STH-10). The siren sounds a 1 minute alert along with a voice message that is repeated twice.

I was almost late getting to this siren. I parked across the Ottawa river from this before I went to class. My Gen Chem ended at 11:50 and I had to make it back with a 50 pound bag through the mid-class traffic. I arrived with about a minute to spare so I couldn't do my intro sequence until after the test. If you listen closely to my intro sequence, you can hear the STH-10 winding down because I filmed it right after the sirens shut off. Enjoy! 8)
