WS 1000. It was the predecessor to the WS/WPS 2004 (4 100-watt speakers, quadridirectional).

Have we seen any WS-1000s in the wild besides the one in Winona Lake, IN?

There are two in Cobb County, GA that I've seen. One is in Kennesaw next to their police department, and the other belongs to the city of Smyrna (separate system from the county's).
Kennesaw (no pics yet):

Smyrna (a Vortex R4 replaced it):

Was there a WS1000R? I like Whelens, but the WS1000 is kind of cheap looking.

It is not a police department. It's some type of training facility for the police.

Oh well, close enough!

Even more technically, it
used to be a fire department, until they built a new one over on Cobb Parkway just south of the downtown area, and converted the old building into the Bobby Grant Police Annex.
