The guy selling the Domel Slovenian "air raid sirens" is back. I believe it was back in 2004 when I emailed the Domel company (manufacturer in Slovenia, primarily of vacuum cleaner motors) and was told that these sirens were intended for indoor-only burglar alarm use.

Would be a good air raid siren... for a 1/8 scale model town.

Not a bad thing to have, but if this thing is used for aerial raids, I'd feel rather disturbed!

Don't blame him for seeking such a high price from a sucker.

Is that an exponential bell to help project sound from the rotor intake?

I don't think that such an intake would help project sound forward very good. Some sound does come from the intake, though.

It's a well-built siren. It could be made weatherproof with little work. Still, I wouldn't use it for outdoor warning unless it is being used in a very small area.

It would make a great air raid siren if your town was built in HO scale. If it could be made waterproof, it might make an interesting underwater thrust engine.

I dont want to 'chop' this siren up. It looks like it has the same rotor/stator as A Fed-model A/or A Universal Securities instruments siren. ? Don
