Kenosha County P-50's were in the beginning Zion Nuclear Power plant waring System That is why they are in the middle of nowhere in farm fields and in towns right above the local fire dept sirens a lot of this can been seen Bristol WI has a 3T22 next to a P-50 Trevor Allertor (Now Gone Sold to someone who outbid me on it) was right below a P-50 Pleasant Prairie has 1003 close to a P-50. When Zion Closed the power plant sirens were turned over to the county they were in.

Same for Silver Lake, which appeared in a thread recently. I assume the P-50s from the old Zion system are sounded by the county for severe weather, so what are municipalities like Trevor, Pleasant Prairie etc. using their sirens for, fire calls? Do they even use them?

Also when did the plant close?

All of the P-50s across the county are ran by the county... I also already knew about the zion thing for awhile. Also that 1003 you are talking about no longer exists, it was replaced by a P-15.

Years ago I remember seeing a P-50 along I-94, not far from the Illinois border, that was only a few yards from the freeway and basically in the middle of nowhere in some fields, like Archon mentioned. I may have seen it on the forum once too. I'm hoping some of you folks from southeast Wisconsin could tell me exactly where it is so I can find it on Bing?

I've seen the same siren, its right on the Wisconsin-Illinois border when you cross into Kenosha County.

I think it's on the Illinois Tollway if I remember correctly.
