Mobil Directo's fate

So this morning, I was able to go check on the Mobil Directo that's 10 minutes from my house, and see what' up...it was a little mini adventure lol. We went into the lot and found an office; went back there, and the lady who was working had no idea they had a siren in their lot....are you kidding!? anyways, she directed us to a building across the street, which is where the "Blaine County Road and Bridge" works. The lot we were in apparently stores equipment, including the siren. We go in, and we talk to the two guys that were there; we find out that the siren was purchased years ago, and is *still* being planned to become my town's warning siren. However, something's preventing the plan to go into action *thinking it's budget problems* so he gave me a name and number for a lady that works at the Court House. So I will be contacting her for further information....so, sorry it's not for sale after all currently...just GLAD this thing is saved! :D So we got permission permenantly to go visit it....and I got pictures; and I apologize if some don't "fit to frame" my camera isn't grand, and I didn't get alot of room for the front or right side of it since the fence, weeds and random mechanical parts were blocking me. I also apologize for alot of photos

And I added a picture of me with it :P

To show how short I am next *or under it* lol. I took some other silly and fun ones with me in it,but I think we're all here to see the siren :) hehe

Any questions, I will try to answer! I'll be updating on this as much as I can!

Nice, a 10/12! Were there other ratios for the MD besides that and single-tone 8?

Wow does that tag say it's a 25 horsepower motor?

The MD I have has a 10 horse Doerr motor on it.

And yes, they are massive sirens.

Very nice Mobil Directo! I got to get my picture with the one at ASC, but that one is only single tone. Those Louie Allis motors are very dependable! I have one about the same size. Good to see some female siren enthusiasts!
