I like the Allertor. Very spooky sounding. I haven't seen a dual-toned Allertor video since Siren Contest 2004

Excellent videos. The Penetrator is a nice surprise that I've never seen in a video. As for that Allertor, I love the sound of it. Nice and deep!

A bit off topic but I found a vid on LIFA of an SD10 (you can't see it really well and the audio isn't the best): http://www.longislandfirealarm.com/WPSD10.wmv

Manitowoc has had problems with there single phase allertors which this one is. ver the Rm127 which is 3 phase. The single phase units have 7 start caps and 2 run caps. I have a 1987 Penetrator p-15 which is single phase and single tone. but can not run it as it needs 200 amps service to start it.

sounds like the wheeled leaf blower at my work or a airplane

some one had the sniffels to
If the motor has seen better days, I would like to see the motor replaced with a Harley Davidson V twin engine, that would be cool! Both companies are located in Millwaukee. It wouldn't have to rely on electrical power. It would just have to be maintained. Of course, the siren would be louder than the engine!

In the case of the Allertor, the only solution is to replace it, with a T-128, T-135 AC/DC, or even an American Signal electronic siren.

Wow. Talk about siren power with that Allertor. I love it.
