Master Blaster?

Mon Jul 08, 2013 8:55 pm

Hi guys, Anthony here. Does anyone know what kind of speakers these are? Are they Master Blasters or Soundblasters?

These speakers do Westminster Chimes, and are located on the Calvary Lutheran Church in downtown Federal Way, Washington.

The 'Master Blaater' is simpally 4 of these type of speakers hooked up to a Loudin 2000 or 4000 panel. The panel is made by Loudin communications exclusivly in georgia but the speakers are used all over the country for more than just siren applications.

So it's basically a Master Blaster ES2000?

I doubt that is a Master Blaster. It looks a lot like those generic Atlas DR speakers that are made to do one or so functions. Since you say it's mounted on a church, it wouldn't surprise me that would be an Atlas PA System, since I've seen two churches that have an array of CJ46s (the speaker used on the WS, -115, DSA, and Alertronic arrays) mounted on or near the roofs.

No, The ES 2000 had 4 300 watt speakers and was high pitch. The ES 4000 was the same, except it had a much lower pitch. This isn't a master blaster. Churches all around the country, even in Hawaii where I live, use speakers like this for their chimes.

Thank you for confirming that Chris. I will take that into consideration.

This might be a bit off topic but If I remember correctly, the 400/200 watt version of these speakers are used on the EOWS 408, 612, 816, and 1212. I live down the street from a 1212 and the speakers look identical, except they are painted green and have screens.

Heck, i would be surprised if they ran on the same older controller, and did dual-tone westminster! I'll have to go there some time and get a quick recording.

The EOWS 1212 is Dual toned but it runs on a Ultravoice so the Westminster chime is single toned. Plus almost all the drivers are blown so it cant even be heard from 100 meters.

I knew that, hence why I said "older" controller, i'm talking about one of those MC's or MCP's.
