Went on a siren hunt today, got a nice variety.

Hebron, KY
Technically not part of the siren hunt, but this 2001-DC is North off of the Hebron exit:

Greendale, IN

Seagrams Distillery Thunderbolt
This siren came to be a surprise. On our way to the first siren I saw a Thunderbolt perched up on the distillery by some smokestacks. Next, I realized that it was a 1003, which makes it the first I've ever seen. I asked the security guy and he says it was used for fires and tornados. (And yes, for fire it did Hi-Lo) Sadly, it's not active but they are thinking of getting it up and running again:

Greendale STH-10
This rusty STH-10 is on Mary Avenue near Broadway in Greendale. This siren, like most other older sirens in the system, has a Federal Signal Radio Box:

Guilford

Guilford Fire Department
We stopped at the Guilford Fire Department to check out their 2001-SRN and (What appears to be) practically new Model 2:
Both sirens:

Hidden Valley

This 2001-SRN is on Georgetown Road off of Fairway:

Hidden Valley EOWS
Last but not least, we have this wonderful EOWS-612, which serves as the main Hidden Valley siren. This is one of two 612s in Dearborn County, the other being in Bright by the Fire Department:

And that's pretty much it!

Yikes...correct me if I'm wrong, but the mounting bracket on the 612 looks like it needs to be tightened! Granted, that pole is leaning fairly bad toward the top, too. Looks a little small for such a large siren head.

Oh well. Great photos. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, this thing was on a REAL bad lean. Also, notice the pole on the 2001. It's just a bit skinny...

That is a fat cone 2001-DC. You can tell because of the 4 screws around the logo and it says 2001-DC on the rotator box. :)

That EOWS is on WAY too small of a pole. Looks like a class III.

Class III as in the siren or the pole? Not sure what you mean.

Nice pics! I didn't realize there was another 612 in Dearborn County (I stumbled across the one in Bright by accident years ago).
