The Latest Mini Thunderbolt Idiocy

I'm finally getting down to trying to "officially" finish up the Mini Thunderbolt. Here are some pics.
My plan all along was to have a base box which would house the 12 volt power supply and chopper caps.
Even if I didn't have the chopper cap nonsense I would still need a base to house the power supply. If I go with some kind of control circuit in place of the caps to ramp the chopper up and down in attack it can be easily placed in the base box.
Since I ditched the old 12 volt blower and went with the air mattress blower the whole thing is much easier to deal with because I can simply plug the thing into the wall now.
My "Mini-RCM" will now actually fit inside a 1/6 scale RCM box because the blower relay is now inside the blower box.

Here's the base box with the power supply and caps. Far from being finished.

Here's the blower frame on it's "skid" in roughly the final position it will be in. I might eventually make it a pole mount model with a 7 foot tall 2 inch wood dowel "telephone pole."

Here's the blower just kind of stuck together. It doesn't have all the screws in it. That's the blower relay on top in front.

Another view of the blower so the motor can be seen better.

Here's the sheet styrene blower box. The sides aren't glued on yet. They are just sitting in place.

Here's the blower box front, back and top sitting on the blower so the fit of the blower in the box can be seen.

Here's the box with the sides in place.

And last but not least the incomplete mini-RCM box with the mini-RCM inside of it. Still need to make the top of the box and the door.

Awesome Eric! I remember watching some videos of it and always thinking it was a cool setup (of course, that was before I joined). I also remember looking at your website and seeing all the cool siren pages and this mini thunderbolt project. Very cool!

I'll say this, your metalworking skills are second to none.

I've always loved this thing. I saw your videos of this on YouTube way before I joined the forums. If you don't mind me asking, how much have you got into this siren?

Just imagine the possibilities with making fractional (or perhaps even full) scale sirens once 3D printing establishes itself as an affordable home appliance.
