That is about the coolest thing I have seen yet, siren recording-wise! I blame Cory (TurbopropPilot) for starting this trend at the siren meetup.

Maybe its just the way the camera was looking, but the pole the siren is on looks to be quite a bit taller than the other poles in the back ground!

Your standard distribution utility pole isn't that tall. In most areas the tallest pole you'll find on a distribution line is 45 foot. Around here if you want anything taller than that you have to special order it.

Hrm, I should do this with the elcheapo RC helicopter I have, it has a camera mounted. Unfortunately it's nearly impossible to control because it's off-balance...
