"New" to the board

Hey y'all. I'm new here to the board... kinda. I made an account here 8 years ago when I was in like 6th grade. I kinda lost interest in sirens and got away from the forum. I recently just moved to Killeen (fort hood) Texas. There's sirens everywhere and I forgot how cool they are. My biggest interest these days is cold war stuff. I do a lot of exploring in abandoned military bases in eastern europe during the summer with my friends and its cool just seeing the past perfectly preserved. I want to start tracking down abandoned titan missile silos here in the midwest and find some awesome old CD sirens back west. It's a pleasure to be back here and roaming on the board.

Welcome to the forums Dillon! I too share your interest in old missile silos, but I can tell you that there is almost zero chance of finding sirens at the silo sites. Mainly because anything that was above ground was removed and many of them are sealed shut. And also because they were out in the middle of nowhere, and there would be no need for a siren.

A lot actually! Model 2's, 2001's (they're everywhere here in texas) Modulators, 3T22's, thunderbolts, STH and STL 10's, all whelen sirens, model 5's, 7's, a few 3's, some old darley sirens, all of the tempest series from ASC, and I think that's it!

*sigh* I remember seeing my first siren and actually naming it in the 6th grade! Welcome aboard!
