Federal Electric Type F Siren Restoration

Sat Aug 31, 2013 3:04 pm

This is my Federal Electric Co. Inc. Type F Siren from (I think) 1937. I purchased it from a friend for $10 not too long ago. I haven't seen too many Type F sirens around so it may be rare.
This is a picture of the siren before I restored it.

Here's a picture of the siren taken apart...

This is what it looks like after I cleaned it up. I still have to fix some of the dents and dings and buy new hardware but it looks and works great for its age!!!

The model F has the same rotor/stator as a model L.

Nice job! It has a "very lightly used" look to it, if you ask me.

Looks like a smaller predecessor to the Model 28.
