Norman, OK Thunderbolts...

I must have been thinking about a different city but last time i was in Norman i believe i saw a few Modulators. Anyways here is a video of a full 3min alert of a thunderbolt in Norman, OK...

Neato, this one of the videos from the recent tornado outbreak, I love Youtube.
That is a terrific sounding T-Bolt too I might add, Those dual tones are great, too bad we will be hearing less of them as time goes on.

Awesome Video there!!!! I am not a big fan of T-bolts
but this video is pretty creepy and shows the true power of the siren!!!

You can tell we don't get many tornados in England considering how excited they get. Surely that's a warning to take cover!

Moore, OK is next-door to Norman and has a fleet of Modulators.

Man, it's been awhile since I have posted on this board. Anyway, Norman's system consists of a series of T-128s, Thunderbolts, and Thunderbeams. There are 3 T-128's within eye shot of each other, located in the housing section on the University of Oklahoma's campus. With the high density of people living in such a small area, within concrete and brick structures, this type of coverage is needed. Not to mention the numerous people that are always outside.
By the way, Cleveland County, the county Norman is in, was under a tornado warning this past Friday. Fortunately, there was no tornado but unfortunately, the siren did not sound immediately. They had trouble sounding out the tone for some reason. They did eventually sound, a good 10 - 15 minutes after the initial threat was over in the area.
