I was at the Nebraska Praire Museum in Holdrege Nebraska today, and perched on a mezzanine above one cool firetruck was a Decot siren!

I talked to a staff member briefly about the siren and asked where it came from, and he said he thought it used to be in service in Holdrege. I mentioned Funk had a similar siren on their water tower. He said it may have came from there since its in Phelps county. Obviously I couldnt get up close it for better pictures, but I can confirm DECOT was cast into one of the legs. The museum is well worth the visit.

Here's Anderson Township's Thunderbolt 1000T on Anderson Township Fire station 6 on 7967 Beechmont Avenue. This was part of Cincinnati, OH's old siren system. It used to sound along with a T128 mounted behind the station until several years ago. Anderson Township requested that it wouldn't be removed when the T-128's were installed. Although it is inactive, it wouldn't surprise me if they growl it every now and then.

I grew up hearing that 1000T and the now-removed 1000T at Beechmont and Markley during the monthly tests. Glad the firehouse one is still in place.

Decided to head to Lombard with a few of my buddies to hear the C-Series Thunderbolt 1000T off of 355. Recently got it's chopper swapped, and it's back up and running. I got a few drone shots, but the siren failed along with the whole county.

This morning on my way to work I did a quick hunt through Cody and Crookston Nebraska. I found this old bird in Cody, has newer control boxes on it. I found nothing in Crookston even though I wasnt looking too hard. Ill swing by another time and spend a little more time.

Came across this today in the little town of Sycamore, Ohio. If I'm not mistaken it is a very old HOR.

Yes, that is an HOR Siro-Drone, it looks just like the one in Elmwood Place, which is no longer activating for 9pm curfew in case anyone was unaware.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(
