Anyone have any info or pictures of this siren? And is there one in New York?

I think there's a 40V2T at a church in New York. The 40V1T is supposed to be a single-toned version of the 40V2T basically, but I don't know if they've actually started selling any yet. The full name of it is the 40V1T-B by the way, the B meaning it's supposed to be able to operate on batteries.

Wish they would make a 40V1T with double 10 port rotors. That would be a beast.

Do they still offer the option to make the 3v8 in 16 port instead of 8? That to me is too high pitched.

It's actually on a Jewish school for religious purposes in NYC apparently. Thewoog34 knows about this better than I do.

A 15/15 version would be a screamer!

On a side note, one thing I never understood was the apparent difference in sound output between the 15V and 16V, with only one horse distinguishing the two. What gives?

The 15V is a 10V2T with a 15HP motor. The 16V2T has two motors, and one 8 port rotor attached to both. They never spin at the same speed, creating a mesmerizing dissonance between the two tones, a very fast warbling effect. The warbling of the two tones carries farther than an octave-wide dual tone with no dissonance.

Don't 16V's have a dual shaft motor?
