The first siren I went to was the 2001-AC at Grissom High School.

The second siren I went to was the 2001-AC that's mounted on a water tower on Esslinger Road.

After that, I went to the 2001-AC at the intersection of Whitesburg Drive and Martin Road (formerly Fern Bell Park). They've added a fence around the base of the pole since I last saw it.

The next siren I went to was one I know about before. I found it by accident today while I was on my hunt. This siren is a 2001-SRN at Calvary Bible Church.

After that, I went to the 2001-SRN at Jones Valley Elementary School. This is probably the highest mounted siren in Huntsville.

Next was the 2001-SRN at the Jones Valley Recreational Facility.

Lastly, I got distant pictures of the 2001-AC at Fire Station 9. The first was taken with my Canon Powershot ELPH 115, the rest were taken with my Sony Handycam.

Interesting how they used wire towers. I guess they're cheaper than the traditional steel poles?

Seems like all they use over in Huntsville are those wire towers to mount their sirens. Are there any 2001's that are on steel or wood poles?

There are a few.
Redstone Arsenal mounts their E-classes on steel poles, the 2001s are mounted on wooden poles, and the Altecs (and former altecs) are mounted on wire towers.
Madison, AL uses almost all wooden poles. The only exceptions are a couple of 2001-130s that were installed on wire towers.
Green Mountain (technically part of Huntsville) has their sirens mounted on concrete poles.

The Siverstreet SC 1003 is also mounted on a wire pole too.

Williams Elementary way down off Zierdt Rd. is mounted up high as well. Its a 2001. The Calvary siren was put in not log after I came to EMA in 2001. It was probably 2002-03 timeframe to the best of my memory. I know our 100th siren is at Bobo VFD up in the far northwest part of the county.
We are supposed to be going late this week to mark the locations of the 5 new 20V2T Sentry's to be installed. All of those will be out in the rural areas of the county, except for 1 near Big Cove/Hampton Cove. They will be on wooden poles, breaking with the tower mounted tradition.

The boss says it was because the towers were expected to have a longer lifespan vs a wooden pole.

Nope. The motor shop said they could not repair the motor. We took it down and hauled it off to the scrap pile. The Model 2 up there now will remain. There is overlapping coverage from other sirens nearby, so the combination of those sites plus the model 2 should provide enough sound in that area.
