What's next, a Thunderbolt 2000?
Huge congratulations man, glad you've got luck on your side. How many ports?

Α very rare and unique Danish siren (Dansk Industri Syndikat). Shipping must have cost a small fortune though...

TurbopropPilot has now probably been crowned many things.

1) Owner of 2 gas-powered sirens that are both a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get. I mean, a super-rare siren that was never used at all? You lucky, lucky person!

2) Everyone now wants a collection like his. Who doesn't want a Chrysler and a siren that is as portable as a wheelbarrow full of rocks?

I am curious. What were these portable, gasoline powered European sirens used for?

Since it is a gas engine I would run a premixed fuel that's ethanol free in it. The gas they use today absolutely sucks and goes bad in less than a month. I've stopped running pump gas in all my chainsaws and started using this:

http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/t ... -mix-32-oz

It's well worth it. I recently had to rebuild the carburetor on my two stroke generator because the ethanol in the gas absorbed water and started attacking the brass jets in the carb. Ethanol also eats up regular fuel lines (like on that siren) and makes them start to weep and come apart.

An even better (and higher priced) fuel is Stihl's Motomix. Last time I checked they sold it at tractor supply also.

Also, when you are done using the siren run all the gas out of the carb. Letting it sit is a bad idea since it will turn into varnish with time.

TurbopropPilot wrote:Excellent points, Jeb. Thank you! For all of my small engines (lawnmower, weed eater, blower, etc) I always use pure gas. It seems like it is getting harder to find stations around here that sell ethanol free gas. Anyways, I will continue to keep everyone updated on the ETA as well as a walk around video/pictures when she arrives.
Here is a link to a site that maps all the ethenol-free gas stations. http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp

I didn't realize the damage i have been doing to my motors! :wtf:

I have old cars, motorcycles, ATV's, and lots of small engine tools I will definitely be switching.
