Fedelcode Siren

I found this siren today. It looks to be around the diameter of a Model 2, but has completely different insides, at least on the bottom. The bottom looks a lot like it could have the same model 2 design, but with more ports.
This is the one that's been on UVFR for a while, but is larger in diameter.

Nice find! It seems that Fedelcode had a number of sirens that were quite different from later Federal models. Can you tell whether the upper and lower rotors have different numbers of ports?

Better yet can anyone find out if and when its tested and
get a recording , it could be quite a
different frequency then a 2-T in sound .

Interesting!
Seems that they should add an inverted rain deflector ring below the ring above each stator. With the rain ring below each stator, it would form a sound projecting flare similar to that of Modulators.
If you wish, please add the port count to the Ports, Pitches post

Here are some pictures of the Browns Mills siren that I took a couple of monthes ago. The pictures are bigger on my computer.. hopefully they translate well onto the board. Here are shots of the upper and lower rotor (the best I could get).

Nice detailed close-ups!
Thanks, Fritz.
So, there is one motor in the middle with two shafts?
At first I thought it had one motor at the bottom.
By the name, do these sirens have dampers which allow a coded signal?

Fedelcode sirens were originally made with a damper. There are two rotors. I think that the middle louver serves as both a projector for the sound of the top rotor, and a manifold for the motor-cooling.

The port ratio appears to be 12/9 like an SD-10.

The very top appears to be rotor air intake.
Next down is stator output.
3rd appears to be motor heat vent? Motor is behind Fedelcode?
4th is stator output and bottom is rotor air intake.

The two bottom louvers are for intake of air and sound-output for the bottom rotor; the set of the two louvers above is for cooling of the motor, and projection of sound from the upper rotor; the top cap is for air-intake for the top rotor, and protection from rain.
