Perhaps they realized after 2 minutes the 2001s didn't activate?

Newer ones run a 560Hz alert. They peak at 560Hz in attack and whoop and around 640Hz in wail. HiLo runs at around 630 and 455Hz, and I think air horn runs at the same just at a really fast frequency.siren fan wrote:What all hz's do they offer Whelens?
These older Vortexes had a belt driven rotator. I believe that the fin was to help rotate the head if the belt slipped or broke; I seen one in LaGrange Ga blowing around in the wind while we were trying to get to my taekwondo tournament one day. Whelen does have a retrofit rotator that can be used to solve the issue completely.Penn State Guy wrote:Noob question: does the fin serve a purpose?
