North Central Ohio Siren Hunt 4-18-14

Fri Apr 18, 2014 8:51 pm

Today I set off for Mount Vernon to record a siren for their bi-weekly test. On my way there, and back I ran across a few sirens and I though I'd share my pictures.

Vanlue, OH:
This Screamer is on a short pole next to the FD and there is a 2001-SRN next to it. The -SRN is apart of Hancock County's system.

Claridon, OH
This Vortex is located off OH-95 in a small village that only encompasses a few blocks.

Mount Gilead, OH
This STH-10 is located Downtown near the Traffic Circle on OH-95

Mount Vernon, OH
This was the Thunderbolt that I recorded. It may be the last of its kind in Knox County.

Fredericktown, OH
The STH-10 was at their FD on Sparta Road

A new 2001-130 downtown. Note the four Solar Panels.

Ontario, OH
This SNERB was along OH-314 just on the outskirts of Ontario.

Shelby, OH
This New 508 must of replaced the Model B downtown since it was missing when I tried to find it. They also have a 612 that I do not have pictures of.

Monroeville, OH
Boy this seems oddly familiar. This Screamer, -SRN Combo is at the local VFD. Monroeville is in Huron County.

That is all I have picture-wise, the video of the Thunderbolt should be up soon. Its got an interesting story to go along with it
