As most of you know Lion King Signal sells copies of US sirens. Today I found their newest siren, it is a copy of the Federal Signal Eclipse. They call it the LK-SENTRY B

I also found out that they have made a diesel siren that looks to be a rip-off of a Chrysler Siren. They call this siren the Defender siren. They also claim that it is the loudest siren in the world and call the engine a Commins Engine instead of Cummins Engine so apparently they have no clue what they are talking about.

I also found a video of their example room

Here is a video of them testing their sirens

I think the saddest thing about that Chrysler copy is that 130db@35M translates to about 132db@100ft. That means that their 5-ton diesel-powered siren rivals our 800ish pound electric-powered ASC T-135, only coming somewhat close to our 5-ton Hemi-powered Chrysler siren.
The other sad thing about the Defender siren is the size. That projector looks to be about 8 feet tall and 6 feet wide, and the siren itself has a cab for a driver. It also has a near-pointless lightbar on it. Why would you need the lightbar?
Also, they haven't made the Defender quite yet. How can I tell? The only photo of it is from one angle, and it's a 3D render. It's a concept in a modeling program. I wouldn't bet they have yet to even built a prototype.

I remember the guy that runs the Federal signal page on Facebook made a comment about Lion sirens, couldn't seem to find the post, sadly. Also that Defender siren looks a tad bit ridiculous.

The defender looks like its from a 4 year old "fire & rescue squad" show

Ya know, we should all email them and say there is a very large market for the old Thunderbolt sirens here in The States and see what they can come up with. This would be a dream come true for many enthusiasts. Just make sure they know the exact port ratios and all :p

The design of the defender siren is very poor. The fact that the ''commins engine'' is behind the siren unit seems very impractical to me. Unless it uses hydraulics, I can't think how they could power the chopper efficiently with the engine way back there. It looks to me like some bored engineer mixed together a car alarm and a street sweeper. The video is good though and the dual tone sirens sound AWESOME! Does anyone know what port ratio they are?

Knowing the dual-tone sirens that are found that far overseas, and the tones clash so harshly, I'd bet 8/9 port.

I totally agree, it does sound like an 8/9 ratio.

Creating a knockoff and giving it a knockoff name, talk about a double insult.
