Shoals Area Siren Hunt 6-17-14

I went over to the Shoals area today to photograph some old traffic lights and the two siren locations I knew about. After the trip. I now know of 9 siren locations in the Shoals area.
The first siren I found was a Whelen Vortex R4 in Killen, AL:

The next siren I found was a Whelen Vortex along US 72 near the Tennessee River:

The third siren I found was my favorite find of the day. A Darley Model 5 on top of the Tuscumbia Fire Department in Tuscumbia, AL. I asked a fire fighter if it still works and he says it does and it's used as a tornado siren.

The next siren I saw was a siren I already knew about. It's a Whelen 2809 at the intersection of Commons Street and High Street in Tuscumbia, AL.

The next siren I found was a Whelen 2805 in an unincorporated town near Cherokee, AL along US 72.

After that, I saw the 2809 in Cherokee, AL. This was the other siren I already knew about before I went on this trip.

When I was heading back home, I spotted a Modulator 4016 near a TVA Steam Plant. The siren is rather low mounted.

The second to last siren I saw was a Whelen 2809 along US 72 near Tuscumbia, AL.
