Awesome find!

Looks like Hampton Roads had CD sirens after all. I know Hampton has 4 inactive Model 5s left today, and I've heard about Virginia Beach once having a ton of ancient Model 5s and a 10/12 Allertor. Didn't know Newport News or Norfolk ever had any, though.

614 also includes Model 5Ts. We had a system of those up until 1999. According to the list there were 32 of those and 5 xT22s.

Cool! I never knew back in 64 Eau Claire had 3 different kinds of sirens, all I thought they ever had was Thunderbolts. Unless some were set at different chopper levels.

I am having trouble viewing this: the page appears to have loaded but is blank. I have tried Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox. Any suggestions?

Hmm... I always wondered what Alliance had prior to their current system. I guess they wanted three Thunderbolts and two Model 2s.

Also learned that apparently Massillon was looking to purchase one T-Bolt and three Model 5s. Apparently they must have waited years later until 76, as that is apparently when they got their first siren system.

Could 625 be a Gamewell Diaphone type system? Hampton, NH has two 625's listed, and both of their fire stations have diaphone horns on them.......

Additionally, it goes from cat 619 to cat 625, with no description of what a "625" is at all.

Unfortunately most of the other towns listed on there have since changed their fire stations into newer quarters, so it's hard to track down where their old stations were.

On the last page of the California entries, it lists "Federal Tritone" as being a category 625.

Wonder what that is. The only siren I know that plays a musical interval of a Tri-Tone is the HOR...

I suspect that is a listing for a Thunderbolt 1003. Novato CA had a Tbolt on the Police HQ, I think it's gone now.

I suspect some scrambling of the siren types.

616 might not be for H.O.R. since it says Toledo has none... There were five Super-Sirexes I've found and one confirmed Siro-drone within the city. Maybe those were overlooked somehow when the list was compiled or they weren't purchased with matching funds?

I see Columbus on there 8) Compared to my '81 study there were 5 fire stations that had 1000ATs at the time, so this makes sense since they have 5 sirens in the 617 category. Those other 7 must be SD-10s since they made up the bulk of the system.

So Cedar Rapids had at least one SD-10/2T22...never knew. Plus the fact that chicago had 106 sirens is mindblowing.
