Evidently those high numbers of small sirens are vehicle sirens.
They could be used to alert in an attack.
LA has 200 type 611s listed.
There is an error listing in Texas. Port Arthur is on the list twice.
Where is there a horn-less STH in Grand Prairie?

Not to get off topic, but I do beleive Grand Prairie's sirens were replaced two years ago (I have a video on it) a few of them were scrapped as the rest were donated to various VFD's. I do have a theory that this STH was scrapped. All the P-50s/P-15s and Alertronic are all gone and replaced with ASC -128s/135s

Bump, where did the Alertronic ever end up?

If I have a theory that means I don’t know for sure. But to answer your question, most likely scrapped.

By the way, is there a map of Grand Prairie's new system? I worked on one today during lunch and got up to location N05, which is the Hornless STH and the T-128.

Nice find!!!

I think that 616 could possibly be a HOR, as North Canton, OH has an old HOR siren on a factory.
As for 625, I tried looking in New Bern, NC which supposedly had 10, and the sirens there were mostly Model 5s and STH-10s, so I'm not sure what 625 would be.
625 is the HOR Super Sirex (Double sided). Toledo had 5 of those according to the Docs.

I know it's an old post but for the last one that mentioned hors, here ya go. This one was made and also locatd in phnx. Harry (Harry O. Ricci / HOR) retired to phnx in 64 but was persuaded back into the business. He had his sirens in New York and the east coast as well as other places. A wonderful inventor.
