Do the Allertors in Loudoun County, Virginia count?

A lot of older people born and raised where I am from have Southern accents. Also, have you figured out what the port ratio of the Allertor in Florence is?

Not yet. I'll have to go out next summer and record it. Sadly, none of my breaks this school year line up with any test dates.

What is your guess what port ratio it is? I hope it is an 8/12 or 10/12, but it could easily be a 9/12 also, because all of those three had the shallow intake cone at one time. The design was changed around 1972 from a shallow intake cone to a bigger one. Plus, the 8/12 and 10/12 ones are not nearly as common as the 9/12 ones. There are only a few known 10/12-port Allertors still in service.

Based on the labels on the controls, I'm going to bet it's a 10/12.
