I take it that you came through the Seattle area too? If you did, then did you see the sirens along Interstate 5 in Fife?

One thing you're not going to see out west are those low gas prices. Here in northeastern Oregon, regular starts at $3.89.

If you'll be passing through Nanaimo, keep an eye out for electronic sirens. They recently installed a new flood warning system for the Colliery Dam. No one knows exactly what model they are, but they are definitely electronic. As for mechanical sirens, there is an active [as far as I know] "Canadian Carters" fire siren in Qualicum beach, which is a small town near Nanaimo. There are also sirens at the BC hydro dams which are scattered around the island, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is an air raid siren of some type at the big airport in Comox. Nice pictures by the way.

Oh that's okay, it would've been nice though. We were through Amarillo pretty quick though.

I pass both of those Vortexes on a regular basis. I live right in that area.

#1 is near Council and I-40, #2 is at Rockwell and Reno.
