Info About the Tinley Park Thunderbolt 1003

As you all know, I went to Tinley Park about a month ago to look for their only Thunderbolt 1003A as part of the siren hunt. Here's a story about that siren: When Tinley Park first purchased that 1003, they put it on the campus of a now abandoned mental hospital. This siren used to be on chopper level 3, now it's on 4. Before the area was ever abandoned, it was used both as an escape siren and as a tornado siren. When a patient made an escape attempt, the fire button was pressed to warn security officers that an escape attempt has been made. That area has been abandoned for 2 years. Today, it's just used as a tornado siren, just like the 7 or 8 other Thunderbolt 1000AT's they already have. The solenoids are no longer used and runs in both alert and attack for a monthly test. This siren is located on Forest Drive on top of a building in the back.

Just curious where you got this info. Im not saying its incorrect, just curious. As far as it.being "condemned for quitr some time," that simply is not true. It was shut down in 2012, barely 2 years ago. It was never "condemned." It was closed down and the property is currently for sale.
