Hankoku electric [Japanese siren company]

Sun Nov 02, 2014 8:24 pm

I found a link to a company called Hankoku electric while looking for information about Japanese sirens. They seem to have quite a large selection, including several sirens I previously thought were made by Toshiba. The website is mainly in Japanese, but is easy to navigate, and includes sound clips of many of their sirens.http://www.hankoku.co.jp/index.htm

Absolutely phenomenal find! The VQR-7700-DT looks like a 2T22!

I couldn't find it; could you link a picture please? Thanks.
On another note, the HHS200.400 looks like a Federal Model 5

How were you trying to contact them? They have some telephone numbers, fax numbers, and an email address on their English site. http://www.hankoku.co.jp/english/index.html

I vaguely remember this company, it may have been discussed on here before.

Interesting to see that they have the dates on which several models ended production...

Thanks. You're right, it does resemble a 2T22, only with 8/10 ports (I think)

8/8 Single Tone. The Japanese sometimes baffle me with their siren designs- sometimes they're efficient, other times you wonder "how the hell does that work?" I guess this one works.

Y'know, if you painted one of those HHS200.400s yellow, you could ALMOST pass it off as a Genuine 5/7

All jokes aside, very interesting information!
