Finally, after a year and a half of waiting, the MOD II's, which were delivered in May 2014, have finally been put up. I only know 2 out of 5 locations so far, but I was really excited today as I was driving down the road looking to see if they installed anything and long and behold, a MOD II 8032B comes into view. About 1,500 feet from the MOD II sits the original Modulator 6032, I really do not know if they will keep it or remove it. So i'm really happy and upset that I didn't take a picture because it just showed up behind trees, but to my surprise, about 2,500-3,000 away, another one! So I get out my phone and snap a picture. Hopefully, I will be able to successfully upload it to here. Anyway, I added the two locations to the Illinois Siren Map for anyone that is interested.

Is it Chicago installing these sirens since O'Hare is in Rosemont? Though Rosemont has Whelens as I recall.

Oh man! Beat me to it! I saw at least 3 there driving around waiting for my mom/dad to get back from Atlanta yesterday.
*EDIT* I noticed that they have some sort of small beacon on top of them.

Ohare Airport is in the City of Chicago and owned and operated by them, not Rosemont.

As of today the "old" 6024 has been removed. Can't say I'm surprised with the new 8032 on the other side of the parking lot.
A bit of wishful thinking on my part, perhaps it will be moved elsewhere in the city for better coverage. CoughNorthAvenueBeach. You would think there would be a siren there, as the closest one is a Modulator on the other side of Lincoln Park. But I digress.

There is also a Modulator at the Jardine Filtration Plant, which is not far from North Avenue Beach. The one on the west end of Lincoln Park isn't far either. I'm actually surprised that most of the big parks don't have a Mod. Like Humboldt and the like. Besides the stadiums and the airports, the electronics are pretty much along the lakefront.
