The Siren Board

Does anyone know if this siren is still around or if it even existed, I believe it's a model of Chrysler Air Raid Siren?

I think that siren is called "Big Bertha" which was made by Bell laboratories. That's about all I know. It appears that the drive system is much different however.

This was the predecessor to the Victory siren, which was the predecessor to the famed Chrysler siren.

What was the overall difference between the Chrysler and the Victory siren?

Over a course of time, the company made improvements on performance, look etc.

I believe that would be a Bell Telephone siren, also known as "Big Bertha". It produces 137 dB at 100 feet, just one decibel quieter than the Chrysler Victory Siren.

Okay, so does this siren exist in a museum some were or in a siren graveyard, or does it no longer exist?

It was probably only a prototype like the three-headed "Norelco" siren and the Model 2-in-the-middle-of-a-satellite-dish thing. There was most likely only one built.

Never heard of either of those, but they sound interesting...
I think there were a few of these installed somewhere though...was it Detroit? Chicago? It was some big city.

I remember a picture of a Model 2 inside a giant dish being posted in a thread here a while back.
