It is with great pleasure to announce I have found the locations of Windsor, Ontario's two Chrysler-Bell Victory Air Raid Sirens as well as images of them!

The first Chrysler siren was located on Partington Avenue and Tecumseh Boulevard

The second Chrysler siren was located within Stodgell Park

While I was there I also saved images of an article on air raid shelters in Downtown Windsor.

Many other sirens were located throughout Windsor/Essex County but I will go back to the Library on Wednesday to look some more.

Another thing to note is that the city archives had NOTHING on sirens. All this information was availiable in the Library itself.

Earlier today I visited the Windsor Public Library on Ouellette Street in Windsor and the staff at the location showed me old newspaper articles using a machine that allows you to see old newspaper articles from the Windsor Star off of a film roll.

I have saved images of those articles as well as the sirens and will attach them below!

Enjoy! :D

I hope you can find more information on the rest of the system. It probably included a lot of Canadian Carters which were pretty popular in southern Ontario it seems. Two still remain; one in Bothwell, Chatham-Kent; and another in Dashwood, Huron County.

Possibly, although there may not be images or exact locations due to the fact these films roles are from the Windsor Star only.

Amazing work  ! Thank you so much for posting! So awesome that Canada use to have these beasts, only if they were actually still around.

Great work! Imagine standing on banks of the river between Windsor and Detroit hearing those Chrysler's roar at the same time from both cities.
