Ahh the memories. I still have the close up recording you are talking about saved to my computer.
Back in the good old days, things sure seemed a lot more fun back then.

Although I'm no old timer on here, I always thought it was either this recording or this recording that was the first. Interesting! I gotta say that I don't think there is another recording of a thunderbolt in Hi/Lo on that high of a chopper setting either!

I forgot I had that site . I found the files of those 2 recordings and a few other classics buried in my old desktop a few months ago (I have the original "bolts&m10" recording on a cassette somewhere).
The Spearman 1003 brings back memories of the warningsirens.org days.

Yeah, I found and now have pretty much all of the recordings from an old thread, including the 3T22 & Model 5 recording of Steelman Hiles' (I think that was his name).

The question arises... is this Thunderbolt still up? If so, is it still operational?

If memory serves when another thread popped up featuring this siren, it was still up and running, along with the other siren, an STH-10.

Nice! Someone should re-record it if possible... "25 years later..."
