WESTON - The Weston Township Trustees have installed a new outdoor warning siren at the corner of US 6 and Milton Road.
The new siren is a result of a mitigation grant awarded to the township from the Ohio Emergency Management Agency Mitigation Branch. Weston Township is eligible for mitigation grant funds because they participate in the FEMA approved Wood County Mitigation Plan administered by the Wood County Emergency Management Agency.

The outdoor warning siren's total cost was $27,993.30. Federal funds paid for 75% of the cost. The balance was split evenly between state FEMA and local matching funds.
Is it a Federal 2001-130? Or a ASC T-135?

Its a 2001-130. Bill and I have driven past it a number of times. Been up for at least since December.

Why would the put a siren in a rural area like Liberty & Perrysburg Twps & Ottawa Co? That area of US Hwy 6 & Milton Rd is rural

I wonder if Weston still use their siren for fire calls?
