Hamilton, OH 508's?

Anyone on here know if Hamilton Ohio got their 508 sirens installed? I noticed the old sirens are still up but I didnt manage to see any new sirens anywhere unless I missed em somehow. Any info on this is appreciated

According to journal-news.com they were installed back in September. There are actually 4 of them as the 2001 at Hamilton High School got replaced as well.

Yeah, that one got replaced as well. I have no idea why though. I'm hoping they don't kill the old HOR downtown

hope whenever they take it down, it doesnt get scrapped

As I read the article, I don't think they replaced it, I think they just upgraded the controls.

That does appear to be the case actually. I thought the original article said they were getting four new sirens, but it actually says they're getting three new ones and removing all but one of 8 existing sirens. I still don't understand how 3 508s can provide the same coverage as 6 TBolts and an HOR though.

Im sure they will have to order more, but then again this was a town where half the sirens didnt sound off
