Some really interesting models represented, particularly in smaller towns. A couple here that I'm unsure of - one of which is perched atop the City Hall at Polk City, Iowa.

Your siren in Polk City is certainly a Model 3. Your model 5 in Madrid is actually a 5T, which is a dual tone 5. It sure looks like your son had a great time!

That's a neat mount on the 3T22!

Thanks for clarifying, Brendan! For future reference, what exactly gives it away as a Model 5t, as opposed to simply a Model 5? Also, this may have been covered to death elsewhere, but trying to distinguish between Models 5 and 7 are difficult to the naked eye, are they not?

Thanks for the great information! And yes, my son loves to siren hunt!

if you look under the housing at the ports (keep in mind you may only see it in bright daylight or using a camera), you may see two rows of them, indicating that it is a 5T, if there is only one row, then it is a plain-Jane 5.

Model 5's and 7's are all but impossible to distinguish from outside the housing, you have to look at the motor. One exception i can think of is the old Fedelcode model 5's like in your picture, those had a little service door on housing if i'm not mistaken.

Thanks, guys!

The Fedelcode was easily recognizable because of the service door on the housing! Was a great thrill to finally see one in person!
