I think there is discussion of the allertors way back in the low mounted sirens thread at which time IIRC they still worked.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say it probably isn't used. It you look down the road at the fire department, there is an STH-10 sitting high and mighty over the station.

It's possible, but if my theory is correct I don't think the Allertor would be used for tornado warnings at all, as the STH-10 almost certainly is. The control boxes look rather modern for an inactive siren as well.

Perhaps next time I pass through the area I'll try to get in touch with the local co-op and find out for certain if it's in use (or tested).

It was posted in another thread, IIRC. I want to say it was somewhere in New York (likely on Long Island).
