Siren pics taken on my mini vacation today

Sun Jul 26, 2015 5:26 am

Hey all! Went to the Flight 93 memorial and spent some time railfanning at the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona with my dad and brother and snapped a picture of a Sterling and an SD-10
The sterling was taken at the Shawnee fire department (I remember that another member of the board took a picture of the Shawnee fire department sterling on a trip up my way I don't remember who though unfortunately)

And on the way to the Curve I took a picture of this brown SD-10 at the Allegheny township fire department. Not sure if it's brown or really rusty but hope you enjoy :D

I heard they had a system of STX-10 sirens, but I'm not too sure, and there were a few standing or something I guess. I'll have to look into Altoona's old system.

Found this map for Altoona's system when I did a search on Google once:
