Is anyone out in sirenland aware of any larger towns or cities that had a system of WS2016s?

I think Lexington, Kentucky used to have some, and were replaced with Modulators. If I'm not mistaken, Aurora, Colorado has some along with 3016s and 2700s.

Lexington still has at least one remaining:

From the early 80's until 1998 Both Millstone nuclear and CT Yankee atomic had around 300 2016s between the 2 plants (as well as a few 2012s and 2008s) as their EPZs overlapped in spots . CY was decommissioned in 98 so most were removed and scrapped. A few still survive and are in service as fire sirens (using wail) with their original controls (Durham, Killingworth, Haddam Neck, and East Haddam come to mind) and a few were forgotten about during removal and still stand. Millstone replaced their 125 in 2007 with 81 2910s. Again most were scrapped but a few FDs kept them for fire sirens. the Deep River FD replaced their 2016 about 4 years ago with a 2905+VisuAlert which now does chimes at noon instead of "noon test". Middlefield replaced 2 2016s (and a 2012 and a 2008) with solar powered 2903s and left one abandoned in place.

The Perry Nuke Station still has quite a few of their 2008s and 2016s. They appear to have replaced their 3016s though, although they left the random 4004 up. Calvin got a video of one of the Equinoxes that had a 2016 attached to the same pole.

It seems they were quite popular with nuclear plants. I forgot about Lexingtons system they had. Living near St Louis I always wondered why they went with the 3016s instead of its omnidirectional brother. Oh well hindsights always 20 20 in terms of maintenance costs. Good lexington pics by the way.

Menomonie Wisconsin had 3 Whelen 2012's (Horns of 4 in 3 directions), and 3 presumably Whelen 3016's, but they could have been a different model from the 3000 series. This year they were replaced with FS 508's. The Whelen still remain.

There's a handful of 2016's in Allen county Indiana, but I also found a 2012 by the Fort Wayne international airport
