I got a chance to visit some of my old stomping grounds, from an early age i always remember going to Brownwood and seeing their faded yellow sirens. I took a trip out that direction and snapped some photos to share with yall. Straight off im terrible with naming Sentrys, so ill just let the pics introduce themselves.

i don't remember which street this one is on...we got lost

This must be a new addition, there used to be one by a firestation in the same area...not to mention its white! lol
hopefully its not just me but it seems to be tilted slightly when i drove past it...
Anyway this one is by the Howard Payne University.

This one is located by a firestation near a park across the street of what used to be Chicken Express!!!

To me this a funny looking Sentry, i didn't know the city had smaller ones so it was amusing when
we were on an adjacent road and my brother said he saw a small one at the elementary school.
I was so used to seeing the larger ones that this one was a surprise!

This one is located in a field by an elementary school and the state school where my dad used to work.
This one the pole was leaning, it doesn't help that the picture itself wasn't taken straight.

On our way back we went through dublin and got picture of that weird looking darley downtown and a newer T-128
by a watertower and some beat up looking apartments.

Didn't Brownwood recently abandon their system? I remember reading an article saying they were doing away with it, or exploring a way to re-instate it.

The larger Sentrys are 10v2Ts and the smaller Sentry is a 10V. Nice pictures!

There was a news article on Abilene Reporter about the city 'turning off' their system in favor for a reverse 911. But due to complications and the fact that not everyone signed up for it or don't have access to a phone where ever they are (or not home), they went back to using them again in conjunction. They also fell into disrepair. Its been a few years since that so recently i have no idea.
