Unusual field find

While out in the field yesterday to visit a Model 2 in the town of Walkerton, VA, I ran across something interesting in a side yard down the road from the fire station...
I can only assume this Fedelcode is their original siren (the department dates back to 1954, so it would certainly make sense), and whoever lives here is or was a fireman. Street view says it's been here for many years, going back as far as November 2007. I'm debating popping a letter off to see if the homeowners can tell me anything more about it.
